F.CUZ’s Jinon reveals MBLAQ’s Seungho’s high school nickname on “Dream Team”


MBLAQ’s Seungho’s high school nickname has been revealed to be ‘the devil’.
On April 3rd’s episode of KBS2TV’s “Dream Team Season 2“, Seungho and F.CUZ’s Jinon’s special relationship was revealed.
MC Lee Chang Myung introduced Jinon by saying, “There is a person who knows Seungho well“. Jinon elaborated, “Seungho hyung was my sunbae at Anyang Arts High School. His nickname was ‘the devil’.”
He also suddenly stated, “I have gymnastics experience.”
Heo Hyung Hwan responded, “That seems to be true. Even while he’s taking, he has his arms crossed behind his back.”
Seungho quickly commanded, “Untie [your arms]!” and Jinon speedily did as he was commanded, making the entire cast laugh.

IU talks about her vocal chords and weight on “Quiz to Change the World”


IU revealed her special way of warming up her vocal chords.
She appeared on the April 2nd episode of MBC’s “Quiz to Change the World” and received praises from the cast by showcasing her strong vocals.
When asked about her 3-step booster, the idol said, “I have never made a mistake because I’ve always performed when I was nervous.”
She added, “You [also] have to warm up your vocal chords well.” IU then revealed her own method of warming up, saying, “Rehearsals usually start in the morning so my vocal chords don’t warm up well. It’s not a good method but I eat a cup of ramen really quickly. Because it’s hot and spicy, my vocal chords open up momentarily. It’s not a good method.”
IU also revealed that her weight changed after she debuted.
When asked about her maturing beauty, the teen star announced that she lost 10kg compared to her pre-debut days. She elaborated that she naturally lost weight as a result of her busy schedule.
MC Park Mi Sun commented that she became more womanly and IU replied shyly, “I lost a lot of baby fat.”

IU, 2PM and more perform at SK Communication’s “Cyworld Festival''


On April 2nd, SK Communications celebrated ‘Cyworld Day’ by holding a “Cyworld Festival” with a 50,000 member audience at the Children’s Grand Park.
Done under the theme of three key words – ‘Feel’, ‘Play’, and ‘Listen’ – the festival was divided into two different zones.
In “Starlight,” which was held at night,  fans enjoyed performances by IU, 2PM, UV, Leessang,Supreme Team and eight other teams.  For “Daylight,” which was held during the day, indie artists likeYozo, Zitten, Windy City, Attic Moonlight, Go Go Boys and others ushered in the spring with fresh performances.
The TF of SK Communication’s marketing team, Kim Young Mok, commented, “We’ll be working on the Cyworld Festival as our main project all year long.  This July, we’ll be creating a new theme fit for the summer season to provide a variety of cultural events for our members.”












[Spoiler: Opera Star 2011] Who is the first to be eliminated?


On April 2nd, the eight contestants of tvN’s “Opera Star 2011” held their first live broadcast battle at the Sang Myung Art Center, which resulted in the first elimination of one of it’s participants.
Viewers could text in their votes for a poll that revealed the bottom two, which were revealed to beCSJH’s Sunday and Jewelry’s Kim Eun Jung. Eun Jung had delivered a performance of Gianni Schicchi’s “O Mio Babbino Caro.” Unfortunately, the judging panel, which included four experts in the field of opera, held their votes 3:1 in favor of CSJH’s Sunday.
Although Eun Jung was smiling, she was unable to hide her disappointment while stating, “Everyone is so talented and did well. Next week, I’ll be watching the show as a viewer.”
Singer Lim Jung Hee, on the other hand, took first place in the viewers poll, and received a standing ovation from her producer, Bang Shi Hyuk, and labelmate Lee Hyun.
Amidst the absence of MBC’s “I Am A Singer” this month, “Opera Star” is receiving much-deserved support as a show that showcases exceptional talent amongst singers.
Others that came to support the artists at the event included Bang Shi Hyuk for Lim Jung Hee,Clazziquai’s Horan for TeiSHINee and f(x) for Sunday, and Jewelry for Kim Eun Jung.
The battle will go on until May 7th, when the final Opera Star will be unveiled. A special opera album production opportunity will be given to the sole winner.

Before the live broadcast of tvN’s “Opera Star 2011“, tvN held a photo wall event at the Sang Myung Art Center in Seoul This star-studded event saw a list of stars turning up to support their mates and included the likes of f(x)’s Victoria, Krystal, and LunaSHINee’s Onew, Taemin, Minho, and Key;CSJH’s DanaJewelry’s Ye Won, Joo Yeon and Eun Jung8eight’s BaekchanLee Hyun andJoo HeeClazziquai’s HoranHandsome People; songwriter Bang Shi Hyuk; and Byul.
On this day, 8 top singers – including Kim Chang RyulShin Hae ChulIm Jung HeeMoon Hee OkTaeJK Kim Dong WookJewelry’s Kim Eun Jung, and CSJH’s Sunday – participated in a survival opera competition, singing in front of a 1,200-person audience.
Kim Chang Ryul sang Donizetti’s “Una Furtive Lagrima (A furtive tear)” from L’Elisir d’amore (The Elixir of Love), Shin Hae Chul performed “Granada” from the same opera, Im Jung Hee sang Bizet’s “Habanera” from Carmen, and Moon Hee Ok sang Bellini’s “Casta Diva” from Norma.
Also, Tei performed “La donna e mobile (Woman is fickle)” from Verdi’s Rigoletto, JK Kim Dong Wook sang “Toreador’s Song” from Bizet’s Carmen, Kim Eun Jung did ”O mio babbino caro (Oh My Dear Papa)” from Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, and Sunday sang Handel’s “Lascia ch’io Pianga (Let Me Weep)” from the opera Rinaldo.
After the viewers select 2 members through a real-time text message vote, the 4 judges – made up of mentors Suh Jung Hak and Kim Soo Yeon as well as professionals Suh Hee Tae and Kang Il Bum– will evaluate the performances and eliminate a member.
