2PM "MINI" Magazine Interview

During their first visit to Japan, 2PM was interviewed by the Japanese magazine "MIMI", giving insight to their thoughts on their trip and debut.
During their stay in Japan, the Korean idol group 2PM was interviewed by the magazine "MINI".
Check out the interview entitled "Beast Idols' Exciting Stay in Japan" below:
With their beastly and wild stage presence, paired with their cute and innocent characters, 2PM successfully captivates girls across the Asian nation. Because of their bold performances, they are often referred to as "Beastly Idols". And during their first stay in Japan this past February, the boys had a lot to say.
Nichkhun- I went to a toy shop in Ginza with Woo Young once during our free time. I had no idea what to buy, because there were so many rare collectors' items!
Taecyeon- We all went window shopping in Shibuya once. Although it looks like Myeongdong in Korea, it is such a busy and vibrant city. And I was also glad that some people recognized us.
Wooyoung- There were many rare hamsters and small animals at this one pet shop in Odaiba. I wish I could have taken them back to Korea with me!
Junsu- I like Japanese fashion style. Shopping time cannot be too long for me. I bought some jackets from Adidas and Jeremy Scott
The group agreed that the most memorable part of their trip to Japan was the food.
Junho - I can't forget the taste of souki soba that I had in Okinawa. There's nothing like that in Korea.
Junsu- Sushi! But I never got a chance to eat ootoro (fatty tuna)!
Nichkhun- Tonkotsu ramen was really good. When I go to Kyushu, I'll go to eat the real Kyushu tonkotsu ramen for sure!
Wooyoung- I liked the eel lunch box we had. It was so soft and melted as soon as I put into my mouth.
Chansung - It was so new to me to eat a raw chicken.
Nichkhun- That's true! My parents used to tell me to eat only well cooked chicken! I was so surprised.
It was not only the idea of eating raw chicken which surprised the boys, but more so the cultural differences.
Woo- I was surprised that the taxi doors open automatically. The driver stopped me when I tried to open the door, and the door opened by itself! The first time, I thought I was in a horror movie!
Taec- When we went to the beach in Okinawa, there were no people there at all. I thought it was a desert island. When I have free time, I want to go there again for sure.
Su- Cities are so clean and easy to live in Japan. There’s no dirt on the road. And no matter how you look at it, you’ll love the night view there.
Chan- Fashion is so cutting edge, and I find it really interesting. The next time I go to Japan I really want to check out Harajuku.
Ho- I want to go shopping in Ura-Harajuku because I like vintage clothes.
They also shared their positive opinions on the Japanese population.
Woo- It seems that Japanese people are kind and warm hearted. I like the way our fans have good manners and are very considerate of us.
Ho- Japanese girls are also very self-aware, and know how to develop a style that suits them; I like stylish girls.
Taecyeon, on the other hand, thinks that personality is more important than style.
Taec- I like a girl who is very tough, but when I'm feeling down, I would like her to be able to cheer me up tenderly.
Chan- Do you want me to teach you a phrase for when you find a favorite girl? It's: "Itsukara sonna ni kawaii no?" meaning, "Have you always been so cute?"
Taec- That seem like a bit too much. Do girls even like hearing that now a days?
Ho- Probably only heroines in dramas do!
2PM will debut in Japan with the release of "Take Off".
Woo- In Korea, we have many dark, strong songs. However, "Take Off" is a very positive and fresh song. It will show a new side of us.
Taec- This song tells you to take a new step into a new world, so I feel that it represents us well.
Chan- When recording, the "za", "chi" and "tsu" were very hard for me to pronounce!
Khun- Our dance kind of mimics a plane taking off, so it will be easy for everyone to try themselves! I hope you guys will dance along with us!
They are now getting ready for their first tour.
Ho- It will be like one big party, so that everyone can enjoy!
Chan- I hope you'll come and see our beastly stage!
